3 Maps

This is an arterial street map of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area from www.canadiansbuyarizona.com.  This map shows the city boundaries, rivers, freeways, highways, and major streets of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.  I wish to live in Phoenix some day, and this map helps me understand the area.

This is a map of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area from azredistricting.org.  This map shows the boundaries of Phoenix and its suburbs, as well as rivers, major freeways and highways, and Indian reservations (in yellow).  This map is from a state government website, and it is possible to add many other layers to this basic map, such as major roads, census tracts, school districts, townships, et cetera.  I have chosen to display thruways, Indian areas, rivers, and cities.

This is the same map of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area from azredistricting.org, with the added layer of state legislative and congressional districts.  The green lines are the boundaries between state legislative districts, and the green numbers identify those districts.  The blue lines are the boundaries between congressional districts, and the blue numbers identify those districts.  This map is interesting to me because it depicts the local political situation.  For example, Democrats generally represent the inner city, while Republicans represent the suburbs.
